Who should buy Submagic
You already shoot your own footage and want captions, b-roll and transitions on it in minutes, free to try, from any browser on any machine.
Who should buy Kamply
You need the video built from a brief rather than edited from clips you filmed, plus stills and carousels that hold your brand's colour and type tokens.
You pay for Claude Max or ChatGPT Pro ($100+ a month). Kamply runs on it; AI usage is not included.

Questions before you pick.
If yours isn't here, ask it in the walkthrough. The form below reaches a human.
Does Kamply replace Submagic?
Not row for row, and this page does not pretend otherwise. You already shoot your own footage and want captions, b-roll and transitions on it in minutes, free to try, from any browser on any machine. You need the video built from a brief rather than edited from clips you filmed, plus stills and carousels that hold your brand's colour and type tokens.
Is Kamply cheaper than Submagic?
Submagic starts at $19/mo. Kamply is $69 a month, or a yearly rate on the pricing page. They are not the same purchase: read the rows above and decide which set of jobs you are buying.
Does Kamply generate video and images with AI like Submagic?
No. Kamply writes and edits with AI, but every photo and clip in a deliverable is real: licensed stock it sources for you, your own brand assets, or footage you shot. AI-generated imagery is rejected unless a brief opts into it. If a synthetic actor or generated B-roll is what you need, Submagic does that and Kamply does not.
Can I try either one for free?
Submagic has a free plan. Kamply does not, and there is no free trial either. The way to see it on your own brand before paying is the walkthrough: Akash builds a first direction and you keep the files.
Does Kamply work in a browser like Submagic?
No. Submagic runs in a browser; Kamply is a Mac desktop app and nothing else. There is no web version, no Windows build and no mobile app. If you need to work from a phone or a PC, that is a real reason to pick Submagic.
How current are the facts on this page?
Every cell was checked against the Submagic site on 2026-08-26. Where the product does not publish an answer, the table says "Not published" instead of guessing. If something here is out of date, it is a mistake worth telling us about rather than a claim we are defending.
