ShowcaseDarnfold, sample brand
Back again, patched again
Reel · 9:16. Built at 1080 × 1920 px.
Darnfold is an invented brand from the app’s sample library. It has no customers and no product, so every figure, name and offer in this piece is fictional. The piece itself is a finished build: it went through the same brief, checks and approval as any other.
What the brief asked for.
From brief.md, the written brief, locked before anything was designed.
Everything in the sections below is quoted from the files this build left behind. Nothing is summarised.
- Audience
- UK adults 28 to 45 who pay £90+ for jeans, already own a pair worn through at the inner thigh, and bin or shelve worn pairs rather than mend them; they know denim and have not heard of Darnfold
- The one idea
- A Darnfold pair goes back to the workshop as often as it needs to, the repairs are free, so it outlasts the pair you would have replaced
- Scope
- one 30 s reel, en, 9:16
- Format
- testimonial
- Style
- scrapbook-documentary
- Length
- 30
- Imagery
- photo
- Voice
- George, British male, warm and unhurried, matter-of-fact (Sound desk pick; re-hear on the real lines)
- Music
- Bed B, felt piano and cello, quiet under the voice (Sound desk pick)
- Call to action
- Book a repair
- What success looks like
- A viewer with a worn pair in the wardrobe saves the reel or taps through to book a repair; comments ask where to send theirs
- Route

- Route 0

Why this video
One pair of Darnfold jeans has been back to the workshop four times. A testimonial built on the word "again" makes the free repair the story: each return shows through the letters, and the fourth fills the frame. The speaker is a composite and the caption says so; demo brand, fictional facts.
The lead visual device, and why.
From patterns.json, where each variant declares what it leads with.
Beat 1: In the post
full-bleed parcel push with a 6-frame flash of the worn thigh before the cut
Beat 2: Again, the thigh
AGAIN type window at rest: return 1's bench plays inside the letters, then the word grows to full frame
Beat 3: Again, the hem
AGAIN split: letters spread apart and the parcel slides through the widening gaps
Beat 4: Again, the other thigh
AGAIN lands already huge and crashes outward in 12f: the shortest return
Beat 5: Again, fills the frame
the fourth AGAIN engulfs slowly and the repair arrives in colour, filling the frame and staying
Beat 6: Book a repair
end card: tally chip turns into the logo patch, copper Book a repair pill
What the record says
The approval lines from production/signoffs.md, the file where each approval is written down, and the checks stored with the kept sample.
- brief-locked: 2026-10-01
- approved: 2026-10-01
- Framing
- A chorus of owners: one sentence repeated, so the repeat itself is the testimonial
- Structure
- Four beats, one per return: an owner's line, the word holds, the next scene shows through its letters and grows to fill the frame; the fourth fills and stays; end card Book a repair
- Tone
- Dry, warm, a little amused at how often they come back
