Competitor decision brief

What Oasis customers say

They have a promising health-information concept, but the newest reviews center on weak evidence, incomplete coverage, paywalls and billing friction. You can take the clearest position by making sources, uncertainty, free value and cancellation terms visible before purchase. Reliability and regional coverage give you practical product claims that are harder to dismiss than broad promises about healthier choices.

They face a sharp trust problem: many reviewers question the accuracy, sourcing and consistency of their ratings. Paywalls and trial billing complaints are also widespread, while crashes and scan failures make the paid experience harder to defend. You can compete by showing evidence for every result, making core value usable before payment and making cancellation and refunds explicit. Two short entries, "Santa Cruz owns you" and "Chudmac," contain no usable product detail and are set aside from the themes and verdict.

UPDATE - I Feel Ripped Off!

Subject: Follow-Up: Refund Promised on August 19 On August 19, I was contacted by Cormac from Oasis Team, who apologized for the way I had been treated and informed me that my money would be refunded. I was asked to provide my preferred method of payment, which I did. Since then, I have received no further communication and no refund. I expect Oasis to honor the commitment that was made to me. If you tell a customer that you are issuing a refund and ask them how they would like to receive it, then follow through. Please confirm immediately that my refund is being processed, the amount being refunded, and when I can expect to receive it. I would appreciate this being resolved without any further delays. I was charged Annual Subscription prior to FREE Trial Ending! Sent in Circles afterward! I signed up for the free trial believing I had until the cancellation date to decide whether I wanted to continue. Instead, I was charged approximately $47 for an annual subscription, which came as a surprise. What frustrated me most was trying to get help afterward. Oasis told me that because the subscription was purchased through Apple, they could not issue a refund and that billing matters are handled by Apple. However, when I contacted Apple, I was told they could not provide a refund because it involved a third-party app. As a customer, I was left stuck in the middle with no resolution. Whether the billing terms were disclosed somewhere in the fine print or not, the process was not clear to me when I signed up. Had I understood exactly when the annual charge would occur, I would not have enrolled in the free trial. I genuinely feel ripped off and disappointed by the experience. More transparency around billing and refund responsibility would help prevent customers from finding themselves in the same situation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this app.

Outdated or wrong information

I use both oasis and Yuka and I’ve started to notice that on some item specifically my native conditioner and shampoo has a low score on oasis but a excellent score on Yuka, and oasis doesn’t have the correct ingredient list for the soap. Even for my Himalayan botanque toothpaste it doesn’t show me the flagged ingredients but wants to give it a low score without having complete information but Yuka gives it a excellent score and list only one low risk ingredient

Expensive!!!

Imagine downloading an app to try and figure out what food is poison and what food isn’t. Then imagine this App charging 50 dollars so you can tell what food is healthy. That’s what this app does. I’m sick and tired of companies using our health to make money. They are making poison, then charging us to see what that poison is. These companies are criminals.

Horrible

Was billed immediately upon downloading the app even though it said 3-day free trail. Avoid at all cost, scammers

Inaccurate information

The data on this app is continuously, incorrect and proven by other sources. Refuse to issue refund, even after publicly advertising that they would give refunds to those who requested.

Sad. Everything is paywall’d now.

Sadly they are as greedy as everyone else. Otherwise good app, before the paywall. Don’t update!
