Competitor decision brief
What NutriScan customers say
They have built recognition around personalised plans, meal scanning and PCOS, but their customer evidence exposes doubts about accuracy, access and usability. Your strongest attack is a simpler first-use experience backed by visible nutrition sources, correction controls and clear trial terms. Keep the basic tracking utility because 5 of 22 reviews praise it, then make trust and data quality the reason to switch.

Their strongest customer positives are easy logging, useful plans and low-cost access, but accuracy and paid-access complaints repeatedly weaken those benefits. Food recognition, regional dishes, micronutrients and photo estimates are the clearest product gaps. You can compete by making data quality, trial boundaries and first-use privacy clear before asking for commitment.

Ehhh
It’s not very user friendly
Needs a lot of improvement
I wanted to like this app but ease of logging food is painful at times. I don’t like how you can’t change oz/kg etc. Doesn’t give you a full snapshot of nutrients if that’s important- especially if you’re using this app for pregnancy. I also wish you could look at each item’s nutrients individually if you want. It be nice to group individually logged food items in meals. Noticed macros were off in certain foods. I like in my fitness app you can save meals or foods and easily add them to your log interface, on this app you have to go through your account page to see your favorites and select them. It would also be nice if you select you’re doing this for pregnancy that it gives you an average range of the nutrient # you want to be hitting. Have time I’m double checking everything on the internet which is annoying. If this and MyFitness Pal could get together it would be stellar or just a lot of improvements before I pay for this.
There are too many questions before you even start. I found the macro recommendations too extreme/unrealistic. The UI is very cluttered with too many buttons and options that its overwhelming. And so many pop ups here and there. Even during free trial, you cant access all the features. However, the food logging feature was good. You can type in plain text and it gets logged easily (compared to selecting multiple dropdowns in other apps).
It's average. I just finished the trial, will give it 3 months to try since they are cheaper than others. You can auto create diet plans but cant delete them which I thought was counter intuitive. When you enter your food inputs. it takes sometime time to load..a little slow for my liking. also it would have been great if things were standardised ex. 3 boiled eggs 3 units of boiled eggs 3 eggs boiled are the same. The widgets are not clickable to the app which I thought was example of bad UI UX
wants your phone number!? I asked a highway does that and like many of these nutrition AI apps they hide the cameras and they hide alternatives to putting your phone number so that you can't find them and do what they want. what in the world has happened? now everything is impossible to use non-intuitive garbage. Guess what they're not getting my phone number.
after recent update the app is behaving weirdly, i an giving aloo paratha as input its giving me egg paratha or keema paratha, also the calories for same item are shown different when i log again, when i give some item with ingredients its not taking it accurately for example i said egg salad with 6 eggs it won' count protien for 6 eggs but just random number as a whole egg salad, other ingredients ignored. used for just a day and it looks good, database is good search and ai mix works well.

Brilliant app, easy to use and highly effective been using it for more than month now and have already seen some results, my weight had been stagnant for months and following the plan as per app has started my weight loss cycle.
Asks a bunch of data mining questions before even signing up. Free version is useless and most features are behind a pay wall. There are better apps out there.
