What Understood Care customers say
Understood Care's strongest visible advantage is the personal advocate relationship, with reviewers praising listening, kindness, explanations, and follow-up. Their weaker edge is operational proof, because 4 of the 40 newest reviews describe unresolved help or billing concerns. You can attack them by pairing human support with documented steps, case status, and concrete outcomes.

Understood Care reviews, read · 40 of 40 read one by one · 2026-08-29T14:12:19.325Z
Thirty-six of the 40 newest reviews are strongly positive, especially about named advocates who listen, explain, follow up, and coordinate practical help. Four reviews raise serious gaps: a billing allegation, delayed utility assistance, promised help without a visible result, and an employee's report of weak internal support. You can compete by making follow-through measurable and by showing how billing, eligibility, and unresolved cases are handled.

i wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody i’ve been asking for help with understood care since july 5th for advocate to help me find agencies to help with utilities haven’t received any help i don’t think the advocate doesn’t know what’s she doing or how to go by getting agencies to help you iam not going to put name on here but she wasn’t any help to me and it august and she still haven’t helped me with the utilities iam going to report to medicaid understood care shouldn’t be recommended to people for help because there not worth it and letting united healthcare know that understood care terrible company to recommend people who are disabled to get help for utilities because your going to be in the dark like i was and iam not taking this review down this time 😡😡
Bad experience
I want to share my experience with Understood Care as a heads-up for anyone considering working there. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Hours were cut, and there seemed to be very strict expectations around submitting non-patient administrative time. I also did not feel supported by my team lead or management. When I reached out to managers with questions or concerns, I was often redirected back to my team lead instead of receiving help directly. Even on Slack, I sometimes felt that the focus was more on correcting small mistakes than actually helping employees. For example, if something was accidentally posted in the wrong channel, the response was simply to delete it or repost it in the correct team channel rather than offering guidance or assistance. I understand that every employee may have a different experience, and this is based solely on my personal experience. However, I felt that communication, teamwork, and support from leadership could have been much better. I’m sharing this as a heads-up for anyone considering Understood Care. Please do your research and make sure the company is the right fit for you before accepting a position.
