What Eggnog customers say

They attract users with playful videos made for friends and earn praise when the output looks good. Their main competitive opening is payment friction, since 8 of the 17 reviews are 1-star and several users say the charge appears only after setup. You can win trust with clear pricing, a visible first result before payment, and a dependable upload-to-render flow.

Eggnog reviews, read · 17 of 17 read one by one · 2026-08-29T16:05:51.397Z

They have a clear appeal for playful friend-based video creation, with 7 of the 17 reviews praising the videos or the social use case. The largest weakness is payment friction: 7 reviews complain about charges, paywalls, or misleading free expectations, while 2 report blocking technical failures. You can compete by making the first result visible before payment, stating the full cost early, and proving reliability during onboarding.

Do not purchase if you aren’t looking to buy

Liked the idea, asked really informative questions on what you want the story to be. But having to pay to see a story? And the worst part is it will make you pay after you’ve submitted all your information so it’s pointless to even get this app if you aren’t willing to pay the outrageous price for it.

Paywall

Makes you go through the whole create a movie thing but then asks you to pay $8 A WEEK to use the app before you can even see the video it made for you.

Horrible App

You can’t do anything without paying $7.99 a week? Such a scam. It literally is just an API that is overcharging people. Don’t get this app it is horrible

Super cool, wish there was a free version.

Cute idea to capture my husband and I but for a ai app… I just wish there was a free option with upgrades if needed. Spent the time answering everything and getting excited and couldn’t even see it with out signing up.
