Competitor decision brief
What Argil customers say
Argil's 40 fetched ads contain no readable copy, while all 4 fetched reviews are one-star complaints. The strongest visible weaknesses are trial clarity, refund handling, support response, and confidence in output quality. You can take the counter-position by making the evaluation path, billing rules, credit use, and quality evidence verifiable before payment.

Misleading marketing
Their landing page advertises a "5-day free trial", but as soon as you sign up, you're blocked by a paywall. So, there is no way to test the AI video generation quality before paying.
Disappointed by the Lack of Any Fair Refund Solution
I subscribed to Argil's annual plan and later decided to cancel. While I understand that annual plans come with a commitment, I was disappointed to learn that there is no possibility of any refund for the unused portion of the subscription. I proposed what I believed was a reasonable compromise: charge me the equivalent monthly rate for the months already used and refund the remaining balance. This proposal was not accepted, and no alternative solution was offered. My concern is not simply the refund policy itself, but the lack of any flexibility or effort to reach a fair resolution. Customers considering an annual subscription should be aware that if their needs change, they may have no option to recover any unused value from their plan.
Be careful with this service.
Be careful with this service. 1. The quality of the content they produce is poor. It feels very low-effort, the videos are low quality, and the actors are not convincing. Credits are also used up extremely quickly. 2. They do not offer refunds. Even though EU consumer law generally provides a 14-day withdrawal period after payment, they rejected my refund request after several emails. I had not even used any credits from my account, so they had no actual usage costs from me as a customer. Overall, the service is poor, the support is bad, and I would not recommend it.
I signed up for a 5‑day free trial
I signed up for a 5‑day free trial, and with less than 2 days of use I was charged 140 USD. I tried to contact the company in every possible way, but there was no solution. They gave me more credits, but I never asked for that. I want my refund. I only decided to try the service because it was advertised as a 5‑day free trial. They are violating all consumer protection laws that apply to services offered in Brazil. I even attempted friendly contact, and they simply told me to be quiet. I went to PROCON, the Brazilian consumer protection authority, and the company didn’t even respond to the organization’s complaint. I just want my money back. I was misled, and I have proof of everything.
